Additional Information:

Picture a get-away just 45 minutes from Toronto, nestled in the Kawartha foothills. You drive through a forest on a gravel road, up to the gate posts and a stunning scene awaits you. A circular drive in which a fountain edged with great quarried limestone and water pouring from lions' mouths is housed. You turn and all around you are delights: beautiful forest dotted with cedar, oak, maple, dogwood and fern, gardens and nooks with ornate sculpted pots, stone pathways and stairs, and through an arched breezeway...what is through there?

You park and look at the building. It towers above you three stories, a wood and stone sided construction with pillars, capitals, a covered wrap-around deck, large arched windows, balconies, cupolas, a tower, and a massive arched mahogany and wrought iron front door.

You enter and step onto Spanish marble, then Tillsonburg dark hickory floors and the view hits you. Past the majestic oak staircase, the corbels, the Savoy House tortoise shell stained chandelier, and leather great chairs, is an open concept scene. Nine foot ceilings with wall to wall windows, an octagon shaped sun-room on the left and a fireplace lounge on the right, reveal a surprise. The entire back of the estate has a walkout covered deck that overlooks water stocked with fish (no license required), a small “island” across the way, a fountain, two docks (one with a diving board), a canoe, and a paddleboat.

You look to the right and notice a kitchenette equipped with a large fridge, ice maker and water dispenser, dishwasher, microwave, coffeepot, utensils, flatware, dinnerware, electric frying pan, even a rice cooker, and wine glasses. You smile and pour yourself some refreshment and walk out onto the deck.

The smell of the cedar strip ceiling warms you, and you settle into a deck chair realizing that right on the deck is a large hot tub for 6, and below it a sauna. You make a mental note for later. A hummingbird flits over and hovers to drink from a feeder. You realize there’s a barbeque, more gardens, and the manicured lower and upper lawns are perfect for a stroll or volleyball, badminton or bocci ball.

As fireflies start to blink their lights in the fading night, and as pinks and oranges stretch across the darkening sky you stifle a yawn, and meander up the wide oak stairway with forged wrought iron railing to the second floor. As you open the door to your room you sigh with content as you look across the room with a comfy king bed, soft linens, an electric fireplace, flat screen TV, seating area, desk, private balcony overlooking the water. There’s an archway into an ensuite bathroom with a glass shower and unique tile work. But something else is calling you.

Moments later you’re settled into an air jet tub for two in an alcove overlooking the water. With a crystal chandelier glinting above you adding a sparkle of romance to the growing night and forested scene beyond, you catch the outline of a duck leaving a soft wake in its path. You can’t wait to wake up and face a new day of adventures too… Welcome to our Executive Estate.
